This fossil ammonite looks much better in real life! The rainbow of colours on it is amazing, with lots of fiery reds. This rainbow shine is not a manmade finish, it happened naturally during the fossilisation process and is an organic gemstone known as ammolite. It is just under two inches long and is well secured in a micro macrame setting and threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with tiger eye, wood and little coconut shell beads.
All the items in this shop are handmade by me with great love and great care in my little studio on the Isle of Wight (well, sometimes I make them on the beach as well), a beautiful little island off the south coast of England.
