This ammonite is a very fine specimin showing detailed sutures and some really fiery natural irridescence. It is one and three quarter quarter inches long and is well secured in a micro macrame setting and threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with larvikite, ebony wood and little coconut shell beads.
The flashes of fiery irridescence come from the formation of a natural organic gemstone known as ammolite. It also has amazing visible sutures, which are sections created during the formation of the shell.
All the items in this shop are handmade by me with great love and great care in my little studio on the Isle of Wight (well, sometimes I make them on the beach as well), a beautiful little island off the south coast of England.
