Macrame pirate glass earrings, small pieces of very old historic sea glass FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE
Handmade earrings made from two small pieces of pirate glass in micro macrame nets. The pieces of glass are each an inch long. The ear wires are silver plated. Please see the second picture for the glass with a bright light shining through it.
The pair of earrings together weighs 8 grams/0.28oz (about 4 grams each)
I don’t make earrings very often as they are super fiddly, but I have been finding some lovely small bits recently and I thought this would be a great use for them!
Pirate glass is seaglass which is many hundreds of years old and has slowly been worn into pleasingly smooth shapes by the sea. It usually appears black until you shine a bright light through it (the torch on a phone is best, as it is small and incredibly bright). It is hard stuff to find as on the beach it looks like a pebble. It takes a while to learn to spot it, but once you get your eye in you can find two or three pieces in one trip, if you know the right spots to look! I collect my pirate glass along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is time consuming, but a real thrill every time I find a piece.
These are one of a kind and you will always receive the ones in the current pictures.
All items come with free worldwide shipping. Items are usually shipped within three working days using Royal Mail. Thank you for looking. Peace.
