The best piece of pirate glass I have ever found FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE
This is the best piece of pirate glass I have ever found (so far!).
Large pirate glass pendant with raised design, possibly stylised animal head. I have never found a piece like this before. Very old sea glass necklace in macrame setting threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with dark green jade, wood and coconut shell beads. Please see the second picture to see the glass with a bright light shining through it showing its lovely green colour. The piece of pirate glass is one and five eighths of an inch long.
Pirate glass is seaglass which is many hundreds of years old and has slowly been worn into pleasingly smooth shapes by the sea. It appears black until you shine a bright light through it (the torch on a phone is best, as it is small and incredibly bright). It washes up around the very old shipping routes and is hard to find as on the beach it looks like a pebble. It takes a while to learn to spot it, but once you get your eye in you can find two or three pieces in one trip, if you know the right spots to look! I collect my pirate glass along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is time consuming, but a real thrill every time I find a piece.
I have turned this piece of pirate glass into a macrame pendant, netting it in a similar way to an old glass fishing bouy, and threaded it with a collection of beads selected to really set it off.
This necklace is one of a kind and you will always be sent the one in the current pictures. All items come with free shipping unless specifically stated otherwise and are usually shipped in one to three business days using Royal Mail.
Thank you for looking. Peace.
