Pirate glass necklace, old historic sea glass, with prasiolite, moss agate and black lava stone beads

£35.00

Fully beaded handmade necklace with pirate glass pendant. With prasiolite gemstone, moss agate and black lava stone beads. Threaded onto strong cord with a sturdy lobster clasp. This piece of pirate glass is a greenish amber colour when you shine a bright light through it.

This short necklace is just seventeen inches long and the piece of pirate glass is an inch long.

Pirate glass is sea glass which is many hundreds of years old and has slowly been worn into pleasingly smooth shapes by the sea. It appears black until you shine a bright light through it (the torch on a phone is best, as it is small and incredibly bright). It is hard to find as on the beach it looks like a pebble. It takes a while to learn to spot it, but once you get your eye in you can find two or three pieces in one trip, if you know the right spots to look! I collect my pirate glass along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is time consuming, but a real thrill every time I find a piece.

This necklace is one of a kind and you will always be sent the one in the current pictures.

Thank you for looking. Peace.
