Fully beaded handmade necklace with small, very well worn ‘mermaids nipple’ seaglass pendant. With genuine fresh water pearls and little wood beads. Threaded onto strong cord with a sturdy lobster clasp. The glass is a very bright green when you shine a light through it.
This short necklace is just seventeen and a half inches long and the piece of glass is three quarters of an inch long. This is a small, very well worn mermaids nipple, not as domed as usual, it has either got very worn by the sea, or came from a much smaller bottle.
‘Mermaids nipple’ is a nickname given to a particular shape of seaglass which comes from the base of old Victorian bottles.
