Very rare extremely dark purple vitrolite glass macrame pendant, with amethyst and wood beads, historic sea glass necklace (please read full description in listing) FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE
Rare purple vitrolite glass macrame necklace with amethyst, wood and little coconut shell beads. Threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord. The piece of glass is a little over one and a quarter inches long.
PLEASE READ: This piece of glass is extremely dark purple. It requires a very bright light shining through it to see its secret colour. A phone torch will do it if you are in a dimly lit room. If you saw it in my beachcombing video, I shone a light through it whilst out in sunshine. That was an extremely high powered torch.
Vitrolite is a very old type of toughened glass which has not been manufactured since the 60’s. It was used for decorative tiles and architectural features. I quite often find pieces on Shanklin beach, I think they must be from the old pier that was destroyed in a storm in the 80’s. All the other black pieces I have found have been red when you shine a bright light through them.
This necklace is one of a kind and you will always be sent the one in the current pictures. All items come with free shipping unless specifically stated otherwise and are usually shipped in one to three business days using Royal Mail
Thank you for looking. Peace.
