Pirate glass necklace with Baltic amber, old historic seaglass pendant FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE

£24.00
sold out

Pirate glass macrame necklace made with a very old piece of historic sea glass threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with baltic amber, wood and coconut shell beads.

This is a nice shaped chunk of pirate glass. It is just under one and a half inches long and is green when you shine a bright light through it.

Pirate glass is seaglass which is many hundreds of years old and has slowly been worn into pleasingly smooth shapes by the sea. It appears black until you shine a bright light through it (the torch on a phone is best, as it is small and incredibly bright). It washes up along the very old shipping routes, and is hard to find as on the beach it looks like a pebble. It takes a while to learn to spot it, but once you get your eye in you can find two or three pieces in one trip, if you know the right spots to look! I collect my pirate glass along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is time consuming, but a real thrill every time I find a piece.

I have turned this piece of pirate glass into a macrame pendant, netting it in a similar way to an old glass fishing bouy, and threaded it with a selection of beads selected to really set it off. I went full on pirate style with this one!

This necklace is one of a kind and you will always be sent the one in the current pictures. All items come with free shipping unless specifically stated otherwise and are usuallyshipped in one to three business days using Royal Mail.

Thank you for looking. Peace.
