Pretty dark green sea glass necklace with tourmaline and coconut shell beads, historic seaglass necklace FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE
Fully beaded dark green not-quite-pirate-glass sea glass macrame necklace with tiny faceted rainbow tourmaline and little coconut shell beads. Threaded onto strong cord with a sturdy lobster clasp. This piece of glass is likely as old as pirate glass, and from a similar type of old bottle, but is not quite as heavily pigmented. It also has a little enclosed bubble, which is characteristic of old, hand blown glass.
The piece of not-quite-pirate-glass on this necklace is just under an inch long. This necklace is 18 inches long. Please see the second image for the glass with a bright light shining through it.
Pirate glass is seaglass which is many hundreds of years old and has slowly been worn into pleasingly smooth shapes by the sea. It appears black until you shine a bright light through it (the torch on a phone is best, as it is small and incredibly bright). It is hard to find as on the beach it looks like a pebble. It takes a while to learn to spot it, but once you get your eye in you can find two or three pieces in one trip, if you know the right spots to look! I collect my pirate glass along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is time consuming, but a real thrill every time I find a piece.
This necklace is one of a kind and you will always be sent the one in the current pictures. All items come with free shipping unless specifically stated otherwise and are usually shipped in one to three business days using Royal Mail.
Thank you for looking. Peace.
