Mens surfer necklace handmade from turquoise, red coral, carved bone, wenge wood and coconut shell beads, threaded on strong cord with a sturdy lobster clasp. The necklace is nineteen and a half inches long and most of the beads are 8mm.
The bone and coral beads are upcycled from vintage jewellery. I love using coral in my work, but the harvesting of it from the sea can be incredibly destructive, so I stick with second hand.
I collect my beads and materials from all over the world, and hunting down and selecting the best ones is half the fun! This is an earthy, tribal style piece, fairly bold, but also suitable for every day wear. I love adding a mix of different gemstones to each piece of my jewellery.
