Small fossil ammonite with natural iridescent rainbow shine (which is very hard to capture with the camera!). This is not a manmade effect, it is part of the fossil and is a substance referred to as ammolite, which is an uncommon gemstone of organic origin. This ammonite is seven eighths of an inch long, and it is held securely in a micro macrame setting knotted to my own design.
The pendant is threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with mixed wood and coconut shell beads.
