Extremely gorgeous, large tiger iron macrame crystal pendant handmade by me and threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with black lava stone, wood and coconut shell beads. The stone is one and three quarter inches long and is secured in a tight micro macrame setting knotted to my own design.
Tiger iron is an interesting stone which is a naturally occurring mix of jasper, tiger eye and hematite. This piece has some really shiny bands of hematite which you can see in the second picture. This is actually shaped as a worry stone, so the back is a concave shape perfect for rubbing your thumb in. It is lovely.
Every stone I work with is carefully selected by me. I do not purchase them in bulk, as I prefer to choose individual stones. I select for colour, pattern and beauty, so specimens are not always flawless, but are always wonderful.
