This fossilised turtle shell is around 34 million years old and is from the extinct trionyx species of soft shelled turtle. I collected it myself on the north coast of the Isle of Wight.
Fossilised turtle shell pendant suitable for a man or a woman with an intricate micro-macrame setting threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with mixed wood and little coconut shell spacer beads. The piece of fossilised shell is a little over an inch long.
All the items in this shop are handmade by me with great love and great care in my little studio on the Isle of Wight, (well, sometimes I sit and make them on the beach too) which is a beautiful little island off the south coast of England.
